Rural Life in Sulawesi Photo

Photographer’s Note

Away from life in the fast lane is this rural setting around 40km north of Makassar. This province has 8 million with around 80% living in rural areas. The soil here is good and rain is reliable. The warmth allows two crops of rice a year and animals thrive in this environment. A world very different to what many of us live in, but the locals are very healthy and seem immensely happy.

A good POV of these rice fields and of the houses in the background, the photo is sharp and clear. It has a good DOF and nice colors. Thanks for sharing.

Hi Murray
It's not surprising the locals are happy and healthy, this environment is no doubt stress free and has little or no pollution. The simple life is often the best. I like your depiction here as it is straight forward and easy to connect with. Good framing and nice composition.
