A magnificent door in the main shopping street in Ubud, Bali. You would think this way a doorway to a Temple but it is the entrance to a small boutique Hotel.

this is exactly what I thought,that it was a door of a temple!It's very nice!Not only the door is beautiful,but also the old red painting of the walls,and The 2 statues!Superb!

Interesting scene; good compo although you cut a bit narrow on the sides. Sharp and lovely soft colours.

Hi John,
Another good quality shot, no wonder you're happy with the D40.
I agree with Albrect, I think you've cropped a little too tight. I'm guessing there were some nasties on the edge of frame you wanted to crop out.
The image could be a little less contrasty, it looks a tiny bit hard.
Good shot though.

Hello John,

I browsed today through your gallery, I found these picture very well as artwork.
Nice symetry with the two statues to both sides.
Also the golden colour of the door is very well.
