Photographer’s Note

Tanah Lot is a famous and idea location for admire sunset. There have two unique landmarks can be the silhouette for sunset shoot. I wonder sunset view at the same location always showing in different color, may be shooting with different camera & equipments can obtain different result.

Hi Ally. Such a peaceful image compared to the chaos and destruction that have hit Sumatra.There is even talk of a possible volcanic eruption!So many dead; the images of collapsed university and hospital buildings show the strength of the quake and how many may still be buried under the rubble. A sad day , a day to remember that Nature can be beautiful as in your image or very cruel. Regards. Klaudio.

this is very beautiful!
how did you manage to take this shot without a special equipment - I mean, sometimes taking photos of the bright sun (maybe not of the setting sun?) may be harmful for cameras!
In any case, I like the result: very interesting scene showing the bright sun and the dark silhouette of that "construction" with people on it. I think the composition is very good :)
I also like the inclusion of those faint clouds in the top right corner and the grass in the bottom left corner!
Did you take many photos from this angle?.. did you change your position or try vertical shots?

An another superb sunset very well balalnced with the sun and its reflectiosn well located in the image. The very graphic FG give a great depht to the image. I like too the black silhouet on tre hill on the right of the image.

This evening in Bali can't be better anywhere, as the golden light is kissing the waves washing the shores of this tropical paradise...

Hi Ally,

The reflections on the water are assets to the composition. The point of view leads our eyes toward the horizon which is giving depth to the photo. The sunset is giving nice colors to the sky, to the sea and a set of shadows to the rocks. Have a nice day.
