Photographer’s Note
Working on a paddi field in such an old manual way is probably not seen in many parts of the world anymore - but here its a daily affair.
My mum always says (probably came from my forefathers in ancient China) that we should not eat beef because they have worked so hard to provide us with rice staples. Both my mum and dad doesn't eat beef since young, and the smell and taste upsets them by nature. But as open-minded parents, they have never disallowed my beef eating preference.

Hard work... Beautiful colors makes the image lovely. In composition I like very much horizontal lines. Maybe I would crop indeed but very little - just to crop out those sticks on the top.

Splendid colors and good sharpness. It is really a hard work especially for those animals with the legs in the mud. The man seems to practise water skiing! Two points also for your parents

beautiful picture and story.
Good to see the animals are not working alone. When I was on Bali in 1989, people had much less money, and I never saw two animals working on the fields, only one.
I must say your parents are right, more people should listen to them (I hope).
