Photographer's Note

Clouds can be one of the most important features when making photograph and they are actually the noble contributor for awesome pictures. Come in various forms, they add so much to a photograph especially when they are formed just right. Beauty of the shape and color, power to change the weather, cover the sun, produce mood swings and deliver the dramatic effect are some of natural characteristic of clouds which can be seen only in certain weather, times of the day and places, and the weirdness of clouds comes from their unusual aspect at times.

So, take a wonderful cloud formation and add a beautiful sunset or sunrise, expansive landscape or a stunning cityscape and you’ve turned a good photo into a great one.

Hi Abmdsudi,
You certainly have a wonderful knack for capturing the most beautiful cloud formations, as I have seen in so many of the shots in your gallery, and again here. This almost reminds me fingers, pointing out at something in the distance. The tinge of yellow in the base is like fire. Thats a wow cloud if ever I saw one.

questa di oggiè straordinaria non solo per la composizione e il paesdaggio eappresentato, ma soprattutto per i colori che derivano da una luce particolarmente calda.
Ma il vero soggetto della foto è questa splendida nuvola che fa la protagonista con le sue infinite sfumature tra i toni del bianco e del giallo e la sua forma particolare.
Bene hai fatto a darle spazio in tutta la composizione perchè ne valeva la pena.

You really are a master of clouds photography!
Once more on this picture it's that wonderful big cloud that dominates the entire scene. The longer you look at the cloud, the more beautiful it looks. In addition the gold like tones at the underside reflect beautifully in the sea.

This photo is really breathtaking and the immense fluffy cloud here is a well worthy subject in itself - so exquisitely shaped and tinted lightly by Sun's golden rays. I also like the whole composition a lot with the boat placed very successfully to one side of the photo and the distant green hills that seem to be dwarfed by the size of that golden huge cloud!

Your note provides a good description of this photo, as you dwell on the marvellous shapes and colors that can sometimes be found in clouds. You have already said what is needed. It's just that towards the end of the note you make it all sound so easy. In fact, observing those magnificent clouds at exactly the right moment, with the right complementary features available in the right positions is not at all easy. Any lucky amateur can be successful once or twice, but to find these great shots over and over again you need to have real talent, like you.

the photo is all about the weather phenomenons.This cloud formation and the way it´s illuminated by the sun makes it one of a kind experience.Just love your composition and strong emphasize on the sky in this image.Was a good choice to concentrate on it and to utilize in this case the water and boat just as a backdrop for this amazing looking phenomenon.

this huge cloud makes an overwhelming spectacle which must have captivated you for a long time, not only with its fascinating shape and volume but also with the gradual or abrupt changes in its colours. I like very much the large portion you've given it in your composition showing how imposing it was over the landscape. The lower part of the frame provides a deep, detailed and pleasant view. I agree, clouds will make or break a photo. And here they most certainly make it. The golden light they reflect is another stunning element, but their shapes, size and light are mesmerising. I could look at them for hours and still see something different in them. A superb shot, which once again exemplifies the wild beauty of nature and your skill as a photographer.

You're capturing well this scape by a good composition and excellent tone/clarity, so it's interesting and impressive to see the calm bay around the island, coastline with greenery and artistic clouds dyed to setting sun. This is a pastoral and beautiful landscape as if timeless. It's interesting for me to see the expression of clouds change every moment, as you note, too. The whole is harmonized well by beautiful color combination of each elements.
