In 2006 the 37% of the population in Indonesia was urban, this is forecast to increase to 63% by 2030.
Travelling there I was struck by the large number of young people and schools. I guess as education becomes more widespread, life in a traditional village becomes less attractive relative to the bright lights and opportunities of the city.
From conversations I had it seemed that the population is quite mobile, although still retains strong links to family and village.
I wonder where she'll go. |

Hello Steve, Thanks for your critique, I think broadly speaking we are neighbours, I'm in Preston. I like this shot, texture, colour, detail, light excellent & the blurred human figure is an added bonus.
