There are so many places I would love to see. But how to manage with 6 weeks for holidays for one year. I would love to see parts of China and India, Vietnam, more of Thailand and Malaysia ... but than I have to go to Bali again. After two or three months being away from there I daydream every day being there. And I'm waiting for October going back to Bali again.
I really enjoyed the scenery on my photo. It was on 1rst of January. So far even a good start of the year for me being in Bali.
Pura Tirta Empul is one of the most important Bali Hindu temple one km north of the Tampaksiring village. It is absolutely worth to visit. Even if this is one of the oldest sites on Bali much of the structures are relatively new, it was completely restored in 1969. People from all over Bali come here to take a bath in the holy water for good health and good luck. Specially on 1rst of January this place is really crowded.

Hi Nino, this is a superb documentary photo with a great pov and vibrant colours.
Well done :)

The colours & detail are enjoyable...Worth your visit I guess.
Subtly you have used th eperspective to bring the scene alive, a slight tilt in POV would have made it less falt.

Must admit, one country I have always wanted to visit is Vietnam Nino. Might make it one day.
I take it this is not your usual day and the 1st of January is the most crowded. Facinating how these cultures still have these ceremonies. Most of the public toilets in the uk have been closed down due to health and safety rules. Don't ask why.

Hallo Nino.

An interesting and wel taken scene with so many people going for the ritual bath.. POV and framing show the line and gives a good idea of the event and venue.
Colors and sharpness are fine

Very interesting culturally and a photo with beautiful colours... I too miss Bali and would love to go back there ! You seem to have taken this photo without anyone noticing your presence, and I wonder if you were hiding somewhere or is it because the occasion was absorbing the bathers so much ?
Angshu (56760) 2008-03-12 20:59
An orderly crowd waiting patiently for the ritual bath. Indeed Tirta Empul is one of the most holy temples in Bali. Like the perspective and the depth with the sprouts & the offerings. Fine natural colours in this good daily life post.
