I have a strange "disease" that develops always 2-3 times a year. The symptoms of the disease is that Bali seems suddenly very nostalgic for me and makes me want to go there immediately. Although this is not a serious disease, it is, I think, probably be incurable disease. This disease to relapse, I have seen many times in the past the photos taken from around the day before yesterday.
She often made well serve as a good model when I went to Bali at those days. I took this picture around 5 years ago, and now she would have become a respectable adult. She might be already married and a mother-----
Ya honestly I want to go to Bali again as soon as possible.

Ha ha...great photo and great note Takero. I know that feeling you described...I feel that way about Myanmar. I can't stay away too long. I love the expression on this girl's face...the dramatic rolling of her eyes especially. The light could have been better, but you made the most of it and captured an excellent moment.

Hello dear Takero,
sorry for my late reaction too;) Here you have a lovely little model with a very intriguing expression. In spite of the strong glow of the sky behind her, all the features, details and colours are defined excellently and provide a warm contrast to the moody light and colours of the scenery. Your decision to place her at the centre of the frame and keep a symmetry in the background is very interesting. Congratulations and thank you!
All the best, have a lovely weekend,
PS. These days I've been taking pictures during rehearsals for the Theatrical Group of Leros (two plays).
We have been very busy indeed, you much more than me. But your collection of fascinating pictures is endless!

What a superb pose Takero - The turn of the girl's head shows off her elegant neck and the large eyes just captivate. I can imagine that this young girl has grown into a most beautiful woman. Very nice shot. Warm regards rosemary

uno scatto semplice e simpatico per la bella espressione della fanciulla che a mio parere hai giustamente staccato dallo sfondo.
Una bella immagine di una terra esotica molto lontana dalla mia.
Ciao e buon fine settimana

Konichiwa Takero san
I fully understand your illness, I to suffer from an incureable travel virus. But I think this is not the worst of diseases, isn't it?
Beautiful girl, that I would have put rather somewhere in Africa then on Bali. The way she is looking towards the far distant is very appealing. Very nice portrait again, as usual from you.
have a good weekend

Brillant portrait. Your timing was excellent when you captured this young lady with her big eyes focused on something behind her. Your focus on her is perfect and I note the you have positioned her betwwen the two palmtrees in the background. TFS and have a nice weekend!

due occhi incredibili su un viso ed un corpo elegante e signorile.
Il tuo scatto ne mette bene in evidenza le cartatteristiche e le distacca da tutto il resto.

Great portrait of a beautiful young girl from the island of Bali. Mysterious smile and big eyes as in deer. Excellent, quality, color and depth of field revelation.

Otis rare indeed that a disease can have such positive results for those of us who enjoy your photo work, so we can at least be thankful for that :) Once again, your gift for portraits shines through, this girl has made such a wonderful subjet. Her rolling eyes and bright and a great focal point for the shot, but she is also do very elegant. Th way she is holding the grass is like a pose from a classical painting. I would imagine she would be very pleased to see this shot, it's a really fine cultural portrait. Thanks as always for sharing
Al the best from Ireland, we have a very powerful storm today. Good day to be inside!
All the best

Pak Takero YTH
Si cilik ayu bangat pak, aku juga mahu langsung ke NTT.
Great portrait, I always think that you can tell a lot from peoples eyes and their faces Here her face brightened up into a huge hint of smile looking away from your lens. But there's something special about this portrait that I love; her powerful hypnotic eyes being the most appealing - the Balinese spirituality. Her features say so much and the impact rendered obviously pulls the eyes in and stands out vividly .

A beautiful photo. Smart choice of horizontal frame to accentuate the young lady with splendid sharpness. Very nice photo with great color contrast, excellent light and very good POV choice. Marvelous eyes. Excellent result.

Hi dear Takero, from time to time something different from you. wonderful portrait of this young Balinese girl. I also have a disease that I want to go somewhere very soon and is also incurable. The way to relieve symptoms is to go. So I bought the air tickets for Australia yesterday :).
