Photographer's Note
I took this photograph at the village of Kusamba, which is located at east of Bali, near the bat cave temple and near the region Candi Dasa, Bali. This village is well-knowned as a fisherman village and also the village of salt farmer.
In the photo, you could see that the salt farmer, was watering the ground (the sand on the beach) with sea-water. This is the first step. After that, he will put the sand in a special tool inside his hut and wash it with the sea water, until it produces a salty liquid. And then, he will put it (the salty liquid) outside, under the sun-light, to dry it and.. that's how the salt came from..
I hope you like it.
PEACE !

I love this compo of yours Yoga. Give all this preeminence to the sky was very well seen. The salt farmer in the middle of the lower third is very well place and his motion creates a lot of drama. The cloudy deep blue sky is very up to my taste. I really like this one.

Hi Yoga
Terrific sky, but the most important point of this picture is the salt farmer. Very symbolic image
Great work

This is such a creative shot, Yoga. That magnicifent sky is the star of the picture and it was bold and right to risk making so much of it.The exposure of the subject is dramatic, with a splash of warm colour against the cool tones. The water splashing at his feet gives just enough context to show he is in the sea. I might have thought that the composition placed the subject too centrally (unresolved duality)but the unsymetrical 'hor' and baskets and the tilt of his hat, do just enought to prevent it from being a problem. In all, it makes a really exciting picture. You certainly used your visit to this village to goood effect. regards Kevin

I am just amazed by this shot. I guess we may think it would be better to get closer from your subject, but in my point of view, this globalized view of the man and what surrounds him is the best choice. The sky is really not bothering even if it uses a lot of space here. The shadows on the man's body and the water flying around are great details. I really love that kind of shots.

Mas Yoga, the idea to put the farmer in the middle is genius, it makes him the center of all attractions in this vast and peacefull landscape, I agree with Marianna it represents the strenght of a man, thanks for sharing,
