Photographer’s Note

I took this picture because of the toothpaste advert. But I also wanted to include the hustle and bustle of the people and the market around. I didnt see any tourists in this area because the markets were souly for the locals to buy their local goods and the open air markets were crowded with people, its like life hasnt changed in a hundred years.

I also captured a woman almost about to eat a banana and an array of colours in the scene.

I hope you like this TE shot, the place is very near the Bali museum and the huge park next to it.

Don't worry, Dan, there's a lot to like in this shot and I would even say I'd like to see more of that kind - because not often does one get to see those delightfully busy street scenes. There is a lot to explore and be found in your frame when watching the business on this very colorful and diverse market. And yes, the toothpaste ad looks hilarious. Great stuff.

It's a great shot Daniel! So many layers, colors and activities here - it's a thousand stories in one photo... The commercial there looks so out of place and really ridiculous. The banana lady in the front is a wonderful little bonus... Very well done. I added it to the "busy" theme.

A very good mixture of old and new life. Industrialization. All the colors are great and this crowding is great. Every area, except the path, is filled, even on the bridge. It's a very good daily shot and a good view of old on the verge of becoming new but not quite there yet.
