Photographer’s Note

Balinese named this pavillion with only have a layer of roof top as 'Pelinggih'. You can find around ten of pelinggih in this Puri Pemecutan's royal temple. All of the pelinggih at this royal temple is sticking with old plates import from China and Netherlands.

The temples of Balinese are unique, it is differernt with church or mosque, they never need a big building for praying, they only need places for worshiping, they worship multi gods and spirit of ancestors.

The Balinese temple is compose by a group of pelinggih and Meru, and surrounding by wall. ( showing in WS 1)

Each pelinggih and Meru is only for worship a selected God, and some of the pelinggih is empty, it is reserved for Gods too.

They believe Gods and spirits are every where on thier land, so that they often having ceremonies for worship and welcoming their Gods.

* * Finally completely to show variety architectures at Pemecutan Palace, next post should be a new location.
