Parasailing Photo | TrekEarth

Photographer’s Note

For those of you who are not familiar with this recreational sport, Parasailing is basically flying near surface, wearing a parachute and pulled by a speed boat. Maximum high is not more than 30 meter above surface. There are a grass covered take-off and landing field, flat surface, just like soccer field but narrower.

The hard parts are [obviously] landing and taking off. When speed boat starts to pull you forward, then you need to run as fast as the speed of the boat, then eventually the parachute start to lift you up. Now enjoy your flying moment....

Do you want to know how to land? There is a marked string that you need to pull down in such a way to manage your position of landing: on the grass field not on water...

PS: This was my 'babby' daugther prepared for landing.

Hi Ben, your thumbnail is very eyecatching. What fun this looks, and I wonder how nervous you were with your daughter up there?? Did you have a go too?
Great composition, the parasail is placed at just the right place in the sky to show it off like this. The colours and sharpness are good too. Well done,

You had dificult lightconditions and managed to get nice bright colors.Well done.

The parachute gives a good contrast with the cloudy sky.

This parachute is really sticking out towards the grey cloudy sky, a fine summershot of leisure Benyamin, should go out too as the sun is shining.

Hi Benyamin,
another nice shot from heaven on earth. I like the strong colours against the grey and cloudy sky. I never did parasailing. Must be a great feeling of freedom. But I have a problem even staying on high buildings and so on ... Nevertheless, maybe I'll do it some day in the future.

Nice scene, the rising guy with a parachute adds here a very powerful splash of color, well framed. I think it tilts a bit to the left.

j'aime beaucoup ici les couleurs vives du parachute qui contrastent très fort avec le gris de ce ciel peu engageant.
Une photo un pen tiltée vers la gauche, la surface de l'eau n'est pas horizontale.
Dommage.
