Batur Temple Photo

Photographer’s Note

Batur temple or commonly called Ulun Danu Temple is situated at 900 meters above sea level of Kalanganyar, Batur village, Kintamani District on the eastern side of the main road leading to Denpasar or Singaraja Via Bangli. The temple faced west ward where Mount Batur and remains of its solidified black laves serve as backdrop and lake Batur stretches far down the slope, enchased the beauty to nature around the temple.

Hi Achim, that temple seems more a bar on a beach than a religious building on a top of a mount!
anyway good colours, light and a beautiful rapresentation of a unusual temple!

Hallo Achim, es ist good aufgenohmen mit teilweise gutes Licht,
gutem Kontrast, das Einrahmen tut mich ein bischen verwiren, aber es trotzdem sehr interessant.
Ich wuerde gerne mehr Nahaunahmen haben.

For a scanned image, the quality is obviously very good. The typical Balinese style is so very evident here along with the colours.

Interesting shot of the temple. The architecture seems quite confused with pagodas and straw roofs all over the place. I like the colourful details of all the umbrellas. Good quality scan

A nice view of this Bali temple, Achim. The shooting angle is quite well chosen, and you made a good use of the multiple upward-reaching elements - not only the pagoda structures of the temple, but also the umbrellas and poles. Interesting details and nice colors.

danke für die schöne Einstimmung auf meinen Urlaub auf Bali, den ich kommendes Wochenende antreten werde. In dieser Region von Batur Lake / Kintamani war ich letztes Jahr auch.

A good picture of the Batur temple, Ulun Danu Batur. Yes it is an imposing temple complex. This is a good quality scan & I like the colourful umbrellas. Hope you have pictures of closeups of the merus too...I'll love to see them
