Photographer’s Note

Yesterday, I posted gate of this temple and parts of the temple viewed from outside. Now, you can see all other buildings inside the complex.

At background is the hill covered with natural forest. It seems that this temple also marks border between lands that can be cultivated by crops or used for residential area and conserved lands. The local people may not formally learn about hydrological cycle, but they already practices this water management principle, thru their indigenous knowledge.

Unfortunately, I cannot explain to you, function or meaning of each structure in this temple. However, in general, in Bali, architectural design, location, layout of buildings/structures in temple complex always has spiritual meanings.
