Tripod : No
Filter : Yes (CPL + Grad ND)
Post-processing : Yes (CS3)

January 2009, one month after i bought new lens, sigma 10-20mm ;)
We (Fokusmaut) had guest on this day, Noviar and his brother from Jakarta. So we took them to Tidore, the island next to Ternate. It was cloudy morning, but it turned out to be a beautiful dramatic sky.

ps : filter Grad ND i used was Tian Ya filter, a cheap chinese filter. Well, a very great filter to start with as an amateur photographer ;)
and for the CPL, Kokaii filter... this one, i dont recommended at all...

Hi, Ali!
You have shown me here how great a picture can be by using a filter. It's a good shot. I like the composition where the "pier" leads our eyes into the green island who stands in big contrast to the water.

Ali,
This is a nicely composed shot using the pier to lead the eye to the island. The sky is great and has been captured masterfully. The hint of a rainbow over the mountain add a fine touch for the shot.

Hi Ali,

your were lucky to have such great sky and you have used it will with wide angle to show the place...maybe I would place the island a little to the left, making the composition with the bridge (or what is it) more diagonal, and sharpen it a little...

what a terrific composition! :-) the winde-angle view along the "pier" and
water to the island in the back is great, but what really hits the spot
is the sky and the streaks of clouds which seem to originate from the hill on the
island. wonderful job & take care, thor.
