Photographer's Note
Two teenagers from the Dayak Tribe in East Borneo, took part in the welcome ceremony during our visit last year.
It's just their culture that every visitor is accepted and welcomed by the whole villagers. As we arrived, we shook hand with the lining up villagers, and we were given souvenir as we stood on a big GONG , as part of ceremony welcoming outsiders. Later at nite, the whole "kampung" (villager) gathered up, dressed up, and danced us their traditional dances.
Amazing experience!

Hi Mona,
I'm discovering a new culture with you. I admire your notes, very informative and interesting and not spladash as mines.
This shot is a nice nocturnal shot of these teenagers. A good managment of the light and a shot very colored with these traditional dresses.
I hope we will see the following of this adventure in this place.
To begin on TE is very hard, it's necessary to hang in many times and not to tower arms. Don't think that the number of comments is an indication of the quality of the shot. You have to become known on the site by commenting others. TE functions like this. Have a good courage.

I agree with Magali, your shot are in line with this website purpose; let all the people know the world by pictures and description.
If you want to get score you must use it as social network, but if you don't care, simply enjoy your hobby and posy your best shot.
I like this shot with the wonderful dresses and the absolute black of the background.
Ciao,
Paolo
