Photographer’s Note
Muara Kuin floating market, one of two floating market in Banjarmasin, the capital of South Borneo Province. The other floating market is Lok Baintan.
Muara Kuin floating market starts very early in the morning. And within one or one and half hour, the buy-sell activity will end. Very short time and unique. I shot this picture when the sun was about to dawn. The light was very low, so I use high ISO setting (1600).
The picture taken from the roof of the boat, and the boat itself always shaky.

Hi Agus
I remembered quite vividly the time when I was in that market around five to six o'clock in the morning. It was around four or five years ago. I love it. We had to pass smaller rivers before we got there; duck our body every time we passed a bridge because we were standing on the roof of a small boat. One adventure I will never forget. You're lucky to have a camera. I didn't have any when I was there...
It's an interesting shot, but you're right about the shake of the boat. The picture is quite blurred because of this. The 1600 ISO setting also made noise to the picture, especially on the background. It's tricky to get a good picture in this kind of situation. You couldn't use tripod with lower ISO and longer shutter speed since the boat was moving all the time. Perhaps, you could use one of those expensive lenses which can reduce the effect of shake. Yup. Another money to spend.... =)
Cheers
Toby
