Java island is the heart of Indonesia. This is the center of culture, plotic, history, industry, administration, and etc.
Java is also the home of great construction before 16th century. For about 4 centuries, hundreads temples were built in Java to glorify the religion (Hindu & Budha) and to pay homage of the late kings.
The temples are made of volcanic rocks that found abundant in many rivers. They constructed temples with the vision of Hindu temple in India.
For talented Javanese people, those volcanic rocks are the ideal ones to carve and using considered simply tools.
The abundant rocks are the products of many volcanic eruptions scattered in the island just the size of UK or Texas state. There are about 40 mountains, half of them volcano, and 7 of them under serious surveilance including Mt. Merapi as the most active volcano in Indonesia.
Those rocks are used also by the local people to built many infrastructure such as bridges or housing.
Together with the jungles, the rivers with plenty of rocks bring the image of great Java nature.
