Photographer’s Note

Eating a yummy lunch at a small street stall restaurant in the streets of Malang, East Java.

There are many such restaurants where you can eat a full meal for a price that is ridiculous for western standards.

Example in YOyakarta we found a satay stand next to a juice bar were we could eat Satay chicken with sauce and rice plus a fresh pressed fruit juice for about 1 USD each.

Needless to say we went back to that place several times.

Hi Daniel, I love these daily life scenes of this country and I get hungry seeing him having his meal. Nice image, Nino.

Very nice catch. The low pov works very well with this composition that shows both the cook and the customer. You photographed them with perfect timing. Only issue is the barrel distortion, which is unavoidable with such mega-zooms. Regards,

Another great looking Indonesian street shot Daniel. I love the background and your POV, placing the man eating in front of the restaurant and showing the cook? as well. Nice DOF to let the viewer see the background, instead of blurring it out. Good color and great composition.

Excellent daily life scene. I like the composition with the slightly blurred kitchen and cook in the back with the blue/green closets. Definitely the good street feeling.

Hola,
belle composition, avec au premier plan l'homme qui mange et darriere le reste de l'image qui nous donne bien l'information sur le context. Les couleurs et contrast sont très bons. As tu desaturé un peu les couleurs?

Bonne foto de voyage, elle pourrait bien être dans un reportage de voyage.

J'adore ce genre de scenes de rues et tu as trouvé un très bon point de vue avec le consommateur à l'avant plan. Ces petites boutiques sont tellement photogéniques (et bon marché), partout en Asie... Belle harmonie de couleurs !
