this was taken last november in pantai balekambang in malang regency, jawa timur. this is pura ismoyo, another hindu temple on a rock. every beach i've visited in this country, has one. it seemed as though the hindus scattered rock temples everywhere in indonesia with a an inkling on beaches ;) this might be a trademark of an indonesian beach. bali has pura tanah lot, senggigi in lombok has pura batu bolong balekambang proudly has one too.

the view from the pura is unparalleled too. try to watch the sun setting and rising from the temple.

Annually, the ritual and traditional ceremonies Jalanidhipuja (Hindu ceremony) and Suran (Javanese New Year ceremony) are held here.
