Photographer’s Note

in the courtyard of a chinese temple in semarang is this statue of an old chinese man, a learned one, i suppose. this evoked in me a feeling of serenity, of peace that seems to be lacking in our daily life. it also shows a sense of wisdom and learning. it's life-like, actually.

Hello Ronaldo,
nice photo which makes one think about life and beauty - and other eternal questions :)
It's a pity though that the foreground of the photo (the flowers at which the man seem to be looking) is a little out of focus and that the right part of the photo is a bit cropped... If possible, I would have made a step backwards and took a more distant shot..
Anyway, the colours are good and balanced, and the statue looks nice against the dark blurry background.
