these burning candles accompany prayers to the gods. devotees often pray for good health, good life and good fortune. the sam kwan tay tee temple is one of the revered chinese temples in semarang, central java, indonesia and is just a next door neighbor to lumpia semarang gang lombok (semarang spring rolls, the best..)
