Javanese eyes... Photo

Photographer’s Note

I was walking around the Kota Pelebuhan, the old port, of Jakarta and came across a set that was filming a commercial for some sort of drink or yogurt. She was one of the extras. I wish I could say that everyone walking around Jakarta looked this nice, but, alas it was for a commercial shoot.

Maybe commercial shoot, but a very sensitive and shining portrait of a young girl promised to become a very beautiful catwalk model, if she wishes to (and is tall enough!). You had your work prepared for, but still, one of your best shots on TE.

Lovely portrait, Caleb - colours and her expression are so warm. She's really connecting with the camera (professional expertise or not, it works!) I really like the crop, her position in the frame and the dof too.

I could look into those eyes all day long. Tell me she is old enough! SE Asian women always look so young. Good skin tone, well exposed, well framed.
