A sawa, or sawah, wich is Malay for rice plantation, is a parcel land, walled by low clay banks, for cultivating rice. In the hills the fields are build in terraces.

Beautiful landscape! Composition, color, texture are all great. It would be good to compare this photo taken in light at other times of day or during other weather; that might improve the contrast, which though good seems a little muted.
