Photographer’s Note
I like to capture a modern building in the city but yesterday i found a bright pale on the sky and really not happy for this. It's always difficult to take a perfect city skycrap with nice sky as background in Jakarta. But yesterday when i was standing below a beautiful plumeria tree with many nice flower and interesting branches, i have an idea to change the subject. I think it will be interesting to capture the branches with the tower as background without pale sky.
You can see the whole building of BNI city tower too on ws (i took this picture almost year ago). Just for information that the BNI tower is the second highest building in Jakarta with 50 floors, standing approach at 250m / 820ft and the building was built in 1996.
Here are these pictures, hope you like it
have a nice day

Hello Daniel. Your photo pleases me very well. Actually there is two motives, which overlay here. This combination is outstanding. The complete work developed in such a way is an aesthetic benefit. A picture for an exhibition. Best regards, Wolfgang.

Good thing the windows reflect the blue sky. Otherwise the pale building would almost get lost in the sky. The branches seem properly exposed and the framing used to capture the tree works fantastic. Good idea to composed both elements together. Nice image Daniel :-)

Hi Daniel, this kind of shots are the perfect candidates for HDR. Because you have so many different exposures, you have to bracket, ranges from 1/2 to a full stop, and then merge in Photoshop or your favorite HDR software. I like the composition and the framing but the light management needs attention.
Hope you find this suggestion helpful,
Enrique

Daniel,
This is a unique compo, with great idea to melt the curvy flowers and the so straight building lines. I like it a lot, very original, perhaps a bit overexposed on the building and sky.

JB.

Hi Daniel,
Very well done!! You managed the bright light well by filtering it through the plumeria, capturing excellent detail and color throughout. Using the building as a backdrop also swhows your creativity in framing; nice contrast between the beauty of the plumeria and everybody's desire to live in paradise.

Hi Daniel!
once again you prove that you have a special "eye" for original framings and compostions. I would prefer it a little bit darker, but still it is an exquisite photo. Congratulations!

Hello Daniel
Well done with the framing! The low POV, the diagonal of the big tower has been well framed through the tree. The colours of the flowers really add interest. Good work!

This is an excellent composition with the plumeria in the foreground giving the asian touch to this urban catch. The very high very white building together this tree is a very powerful combination. Really nicely done.

Hi Daniel,
The most I like is graet POV. Other thing - these flowers - very good idea:) But for me, there is too much light on a building... That way I prepared workshop - I hope you like it..
Great picture Daniel,

Hi daniel
Interesting composition with the flowers in front of the tower.
The construction is just little bit over exposed but it's nice however.

Hi Daniel,
This picture is very special. The branches with these flowers are so delicate! It reminds me a kind of Asian painting works, which I like very much.
The idea of this framing is excellent. The building with all those blue windows as background is a magic touch.
Congratulations!

I like this shot Daniel. Very original with your POV below the greenery. The light coming through the leaves really looks good, producing a very vibrant green, and the building in the background looks good also, going from the proper exposure at the bottom to almost disappearing in the sky up top.
Nice work.

Daniel,
a simple shot and yet quite powerful in its statement contrasting with the delicate bueaty of the flowers and leafes in the foreground and the graphic rather repetitive and boring concrete building in the background.

Hi Daniel,
you had a very good idea to take the shot this way, avoiding the pale sky to have many space in the frame. You missed some details of the skycraper because is too much bright, but imo it is not very important, because the façade is homogeneous and repetitive. Good work, my friend!
Tfs and best wishes.

Hi Daniel,
Excellent shot. I like the way you integrated the branches. The tree and flowers offer a nice framing for the big building on the background. An interesting and creative way to show the city. By the way my husband is in Jakarta today.

Daniel,
An excellent idea to frame the building through this beautiful Plumeria tree. These shots are typically hard to expose correctly, but you have done a beautiful job.

Hi Daniel,
nice to meet you! Always carefully chosing compositions...I like that. A lot! This one is perfect for my taste. Effort of bringing out the best of momentary conditions. Marvelous. Chosen POV is phenomenal, bringing into the frame this beautiful blossoms and branches. It gives a gentle japanese touch, a sense of beautiful place designed with great buildings and still with a sense and respect for nature structures. Most aesthetic and visually pleasing capture. Marvelous!
Kind regards,
Jeri
