Photographer’s Note
Hanupatta, Zanskar - altitude 3850 m
This is a scene after the rain seen from the campsite of the second day at Hanupatta on the way to Lingshed from Lamayuru. It had stopped raining finally in the evening.
Taken at 18:47 with handheld, because i do not have physical strength to carry a heavy tripod on me.
White balance setting : Cloudy.

Hello Hisashi,
Wow. What a wonderful scenery. Beautiful clouds/mist amongst the jagged peaks. I like the dark colors and atmosphere here. Regards. Latiff.

Hello Hisashi,
Who needs a tripod when you did this so well. Beautiful landscape, it looks so rugged and the clouds in the valley add so much to the shot. Superb composition and wonderful POV.
No wonder you were tired lugging that monster 5D around with you.
All the best and thank you for this marvelous image.

what a breathtaking view! :-) that is what i really like on TE - you can visit the world,
as this is a place i have not been too and i guess will never be...
well composed with great details like the mountains, the stones, the river, the green trees/bushes and of course the clouds.
best wishes & thank you for a wonderful view of a different world, thor.

the thumbnail doesn't do justice to the photo, the feeling of menacing darkness is quite overwhelming. the way you have framed the photo creates a feeling that the mountains are slowly closing the valley, it certainly adds to the feeling of danger. impressive shot, Hisashi, I like it a lot.

Impressive view, Hisashi. VERY impressive!
Technically superb, but it's the framing annex sense of menace created by the mist shrouding those peaks, what really makes the difference in this one. GREAT SHOT, TFS!
Have a good day, I'll be seeing you.
Fulvio.

Olá Hisachi, another superb capture of this beautiful landscape. It almost seems like a b&w picture due to the weather which makes it an even more impressive work from you. The effect of the clouds in the BG is amazing and magical. What a sight!
have a nice day,

It can be impossible to carry everthing you need + heavy camera and a tripod as well. I have the same problem. It looks as if you didn't need it here anyway as this is a well produced and dramatic image, and despite having to use f4 the depth at this size seems perfect.

Effectful compo from this mountainous valley H. The low clouds and mist sure adds some interesting effect in the work. Good use also of foreground details

Hi Hisashi,
Majestic view of this barren mountain pass high above the tree line.
Love the dreamy mist surrounding the jagged peaks.
Wonderful shot from this light-headed altitude.

Hi Hisashi
What splendid gallery that you have! Fantastic places and very well captured!
I like very much this valley: the little creek, some spots with grass and a brutal mountain on the background...
Thanks for sharing,
