Photographer’s Note
Lingshed, Zanskar - altitude 4400 m
It was a grandfather mountain in Lingshed that made the clouds.
Being able to come and go under this gate is only during summer. Nobody can get over the pass when there is covered with the snow, brave people in Lingshed walk on the frozen river to the city of Leh.

The polarizer really worked well here to make the colors vibrate. The 5D and 17-40 combination is really a killer. Just look at the sharpness of this picture. Can't wait to get the new mkII to marry with my L lens. Great light here Hisashi!

Hi Hisashi!
Beautiful sky! The polarization is excellent. I also like the point of view from down, including nice subjects to the fine composition. Well taken!

hi Hisashi
When I see your series on India, I really wish I were joining you on the trek to see the mountains and scenery. At such altitude, life can be very challenging but it is a survival spirit up there and overcome the acclimatised weather and oxygen level is still worth the beauty of the landscape.
Great view of the 4400m without snow. No rain or wet weather when you were here?

Hello Hisashi
Tu as eu une lumière extraordinaire sur cette montagne. Les nuages blancs sur ce ciel bleu foncé font un arrière plan d'une grande beauté. Les drapeaux de prières sont un plus bien appréciable pour l'ensemble.

hello Hisashi,
I see that you are using the wide angle to the fullest, and I like a lot the result, I find it nicely emphasises the high and fast-moving clouds. the extreme blue of the sky is a great background for the colourful flags, very nice work.

Kristine
