In the middle of Nowhere, a photo from Jammu and Kashmir, North

Photographer's Note

This picture was taken on the way to Srinagar from Kargil. We had just crossed the ancient monastery village Lamayuru when we spotted this bright and colorful house in the middle of nowhere. As you can see from the picture there were huge mountains right behind the houses and nothing else in sight! Wonder how these people managed to live there.

Oh, I like this one! The vivid and well saturated colors shine so well in contrast with the massive mountains. In a way, the light is heavy, but you dealt pretty well with it! And as you wrote: it seems in the middle of nowhere and your picture succeed in sharing your feeling!

Such is a very rare image, since it's in the middle of nowhere, Not many people have at least no many tourist made it out here to photograph such a place. Very nice details on the rocks and show really good texture. Part of the for ground is a little over expose by the bright light, but I like that you managed well the details of the whole image. Nice picture! Very colourful, amazing place, India is such an amazing country! I like the way the background is set, only mountains. Good light and sharpness as well.
