Photographer’s Note
Another shot from my early morning Varanasi ghats series. This man had spotted for a few moments that I was trying to take a portrait of him, and he very carefully tried not to look at me as he was dressing up again after his bath in the Ganges, but curiosity won over shyness or disdain, and he finally looked at me. That's unfortunately the only shot I could get of him looking in my direction

If he really didn't want you to "steal his soul".. when it was so obvious.. maybe you shouldn't push so much..??
In good shot co-operation is important, violence doesn't pay off.. this is pragmatic view..
In the "human field", everybody has the right to save his image for himself.. this is a matter of respect..
this is only a picture.. remember?

cela manque un tout petit peu de netteté mais ce portrait est tut de meme très beau par son originalité et ses couleurs.
Jolie présentation

Hi Timmok
I understand how it can be tricky sometimes to get right shot without potentially upsetting or offending the subject.
But I think you succeeded in getting a lovely portrait here, and I like this shot. Very nice perspective and, POV and DOF.
Well done :)
