Photographer’s Note

This woman has a little shop across from a temple in Chennai. She sells items used for worship, flowers, fruit, incense, etc. She works with her son.I thought she was so beautiful , sitting among her colorful goods.

Good subject, rather a flat pose, but that's OK. I think a crop closer to the right of her would have been an improvement. But generally nice shot.

Nice view of a daily life shop, indeed a small crop all around would emphase the lady and with some local sharpenig and burn/doge tool you can easily regain depht. Still all the good elements are there already to be a pleasant scene to look at. Fine job, keep on going Christina ! see WS

You're right Christina it's a nice symphony of colors you've captured here, finding the woman's face a bit dark i was thinking of a small WS, but I noticed Henk has already addressed this and I like the result.

This is a nice composition Christina. I like the spread of colors in front of this lady. I like Henk's WS too. Nice teamwork here. :)

You are very good at taking portraits, Christina.
Excellent colours and composition in this one. Maybe her face gets a bit too dark and looses details, the workshop was a nice help to change that.
I think this is a great daily life picture and I love the colourful surroundings.
Nicely seen.

I really enjoy such kind of picture that ally portrait, with local products and colors. Good composition and framing. As for eventually cropping a little more, once again I prefer like it's now. I like to see the all environment and I see the woman at the right place for the composition. I just tried a light sharpening (radius 1, strenght 50, clipping 5 with PSP), it can improve a little I think, but it's subjective. Great job again!
