This teenage girl was coming out of her house in Kolkata. She had a sweet smile and a warm glow to her skin. She represents how I see India - warm , friendly, and beautiful people.

Good portrait, she got a big smile, you can crop it almost to square to emphase this and even add a big white frame. The colors are great.

In Malaysia, India is propagated through the eyes of the glitz and glamour of Bollywood celluloid facade. At any given day, all television channels feature Bollywood this and Bollywood that.
It is refreshing and thoughtful to see your work Christina. You've managed to capture the actual beauty of India in its raw form. This shot is one fine example. Kudos.

Nice to see a potrait that isnt just the head.
Her shawl makes this photo.
Very natural shot.

lovely picture. what I would have done here: crop it tight to her face, sharpen it neatly in PS. maybe 200%. Don't foret that the face, not the dress is what makes this portrait.
