Photographer’s Note
This was a very lucky shot. In a small village in Himachal Pradesh, I'd set up the camera and tripod to take a photo of the gleaming mountains, and suddenly this litle girl stands right in front of the lens and peers at me. What else could I do. Click. She had been sitting next to a wood fire cooking chapattis and dhal, the ash is in her hair. Her blanket is typical of this part of HP wound around in an intricate way and held with an giant pin, sometimes ornate.

Its a so colorful photograph.

The image is exception! The workshops helped, it did need a little contrast and a bit of sharpening.Regardless, it is a great shot!!!!!Timeless.
