Photographer's Note
Goa is known for, among many other things, its spicy food. (Vindaloo was invented here, a combination of Indian and Portuguese cuisines.) So this shot of spices in the Panjim market (Panjim is the main port of Goa) is quite representative.
Technical: Cropped to focus on the curves of the bowls. Lots of other adjustments; the one I remember best is using a Linear Burn on the bowl rim on the upper left, as it was blown out. Also, some brushwork and noise level reduction on the interior of the bowl in the lower right.

Daniel,
a nice abstract of these spice bowls with rich colors and excelent contrast. I see that the light wasn't so strong as the image suggests it; you were on the limit of handheld and with that on the limit to create a better DOF. I wish you had more light to increase the f/ and the DOF. The blurred bowl to the left is a little bit distracting.

Hi Daniel,
I like the idea a lot, but I am not sure whether the blur on the left bowl works here. The red and yellow combination is fantastic though.

interesting crop, lot of grain is OK but top left part is too unfocused, excellent contrasted colours and curves

Hi Daniel,
Perfect in concept, and a fine shot.
The blur in left makes the image appeal more.
Excellent tones, and a well explained note.
Photography need not be always for sharp images...but to speak visions..and that needs ARTISTIC HEARTS AND VISIONS..
With admirations, dear friend..

Hey,
A good close up of the spices - always an effective way to shoot a subject like this. The focus is in a good part of the frame.

Hello Dan,
The colors and textures are first rate in this imaginative shot. The curves indeed are emphasized. The note is especially useful in the second paragraph, the use of linear burn to rectify the blown out part.
Warm regards, Dan. Have a good week.

Bonjour Daniel,
simplicité extrème, graphisme et couleurs, voici des courbes qui font tout leur effet.
J'aime beaucoup l'audace de la prise et l'originalité.
Regards.
Daniel.

Hi Daniel,
I like those spices displays that can also be seen for example in Morocco, I see India also does not lack them and they provide a nice and colorful subject. I think I'd have preferred the top bowl to be in focus though.
Have a nice day jY
