This is my 100th post in TE. An unimaginable number, when I started the journey in TE. In this process, I have learnt a lot about photography from the fellow members. The best part of TE though, has been in the circle of friends that I have developped. Never before joining TE, I could imagine of having so many friends from different parts of the world. Its not possible for me to name everyone, I would like to thank ALL the critiquers of my work, for all the constructive suggestions, that has helped me reach this milestone.
Having said that, I know, I still have an ocean to learn. I still need to know more about this wonderful art of photgraphy, so I would look forward to your suggestions and comments as always.

*****************************
Regarding the photo- I could not imagine any other shot as my 100 th post. Those who ahve followed my posts regularly, know very well how much I love the great Mt. K. Its an adorable view. Hence, inspite of the techinical lackings here, I decided to go for this post.
This is scanned shot. PP done- Auto levels, adjutment of contrast, and filtering thru Neat Image.

*******************************
This shot was taken from Rinchenpong, a small hamlet in West Sikkim. When we reached Rinchenpong on 15 th March, we were greeted with a thick cloud cover. The next day did not show any improvement as well. 17 th March was my birthday, and nature gifted me this.... who could ask for a better birthday gift?
This pattern of the Eastern Himalayas, is often called 'The Sleeping Buddha', as it resembles Lord Buddha sleeping on his back.

hi Sagar!
congratulations on your 100th post on TE! and that too with the picture of my favourite peak!
good shot at that. however, to nit pick, parts of the snow is blown out. i like the blue sky though.

regards,
Nabarun.

Hi Sagar. Congrats for your 100th post and wish you all success in achieveing several milestones ahead. Beautifully captured this majestic marvel. Befitting your 100th mark, really. The silhouetted effect in the f/g added lot of depth. The tint of blue sky afar is soothing and seductive. Great. Regards.

Hi, Sagarneel,
A shot worthy of being the jubilated one:)
Congratulations for the decent choice.
The mountain is superb!
I like the play of sunlight and shadows.

Dear Sagar,
Apart from the blown out snow and over whitish shades in the massif, this is some view for which one would prefer to visit these places again and again.Indeed, Rinchengpong is the place to enjoy majestic view of the massif. You captured it quite well and tried your best to make up for the blown out department in PP I guess :).Still, I quite enjoyed the view and congrats for 100th!!I'm sure when you will look back to some of your very first posts in TE, you will understand how you have improved over the years - courtsey TE.
Congratulations and Greetings,
Dhurjati

How appropriate for your 100th post to have an image of your favourite place taken on your birthday. Maybe the exposure could be better, but the range of light was very wide, making perfect exposure very difficult. Congratulations for reaching a century.
Kath

Dear Sagarneel,
congratulations for this important milestone and many many more from you I hope. It's a picture you made with your heart too, I can for sure understand the love you have for this majestic mountain. Scanning is not an easy thing, there is always a loss of details etc, but the contrast is good, the sky so crisp blue, a breath of fresh air!

All the best !
Kind regards
Michèle

Hi Sagarneel,

we're both posting our 100th post the same day!

Congrats for yours. I like the black / white / blue compo.

100?! So old you are, here! ;-)
Mountains, mountains view, I was in Tatra mountains last week and I have taken just one shot with them! It was so misty weather. But as I can see your shot, you had a great weather to watch a beauty of your mountains.
Keep posting friend and wish you ...200!

Hi Sagarneel,
WOW! What a terrific birthday gift to have! Beautiful majestic view, fantastic! Heartiest congratulations for reaching a 100! I told you we might reach it together, (well almost :) Your shots and PP have improved dramatically over the past year and I have learned a lot from you. Even more, I consider that I have gained a friend in you which I treasure much more. Thanks for everything.
Regards,
Shaeri

Hello Sagarneel
100th is the first milestone in this site. You've achieved that (close in the heels of Shaeri)...congratulations & look fwd. for the next 100. I don't think of anything better than Mt.K for this landmark post. Exposure is good except the middle part..The use of NI has been good especially on the sky, but I think you should not have applied NI over the snow peaks as many details have got 'blunted' here. Now, we look fwd. for more pictures from the river side in your city!
Best Wishes
Angshumanda

Hello Sagar,

First of all, Congratulations on reaching the milestone...!!! the number of pics dont count but the effort in improving with everyshot makes the 100th milestone all the more important..!! It is wonderful have you around and I appreciate your continual participation in TE inspite of the ups and downs..!!! the interest counts and you have it all to become a great photographer...!!! THE QUEST SHOULD NEVER END..!!!!!

As far as this shot is concerned, I am ot too much happy with this shot of Mt K from you..!!Its too blown out and the NI effect has been very destructive to the image. The show has been taken well from a very good point of view but the PP part has done some major damage to this shot...still I like your initiative here very much and really hope you will give us one after another more improved shots in the times to come..!!

Love
Indroda

Hi Sagarneel
Congratulations on your 100th post. This image has three layers of colour and there is no mistaking the main subject here. Nicely done with the cropping into a panoramic format.
Phil

hi Sagar

A fine 100th post with this high resolution and contrast of scenic view with bright sunshine and dark shadow, very well exposed and composed. Great work.

Definitely worth your hardwork on 100 photos and unfailing critiques to others, coming this far.

tfs, bill

HI!!

Sorry for reaching a bit late to your photographs.. Now i realize what i have missed!!

Congratzz for your 100th post in Trek Earth! I am really very much impressed by the view .. Really a wonderful birthday present to have!! I like the tone of colors in the sky but i do think that the mountains downstairs is just too dark as if its night.. Probably the effect of PP done.. May be increasing of the contrast might have effected it..
Anyways , your photographs have always delighted us a lot!! THANKS A LOT FOR EVERYTHING!!!

Happy posting,
Sayan

Hi Sagarneel,

Which more beautiful place to celebrate your 100th photograph. These mountains are splendid and contrast well with this beautiful blue sky. The wind sweeping snow on the right gives a beautiful effect. Congratulations and good continuation on TE.

Hi Sagar,
Congratulations for your 100th post. It's been a pleasure enjoying your company and your beautiful photos. You chose a superb view to commemorate the event, the majestic Kangchenjunga and its brothers whose name I don't know, shining under the sun and a clear blue sky.
