Photographer’s Note
Staying on top of the local actualities:
Today the famous restaurants Chotiwala here in Ram Jhula celebrated their 50th anniversary.
With sound and color the cream of the Sadhus were invited as highpoint of the procession supported by a Brass Band where the Sousaphone was playing another melody totally out of tune, but that didn't disturb the festival mood at all. With the garland of flowers, put around my neck by one of the orginisators, I became part of the festivities and they allowed me to run across the procession :).
Here a view of the core of the procession with the two holy men (the Blue Jewels) to bring fortune to the Chotiwala Restaurants, indeed there are two of them, both with the same name and nobody knows which is the authentic one.
So up to the Chotiwala to still our hunger now the procession is over, just an hour ago !
(PS current went down while editing and so the light of my lap, so you got a very bright festival color version here :), an adjusted version in the WS)

Excellent image, Henk. The stoic expressions of the holy men are perfectly captured, and the position and gaze of the one on the right (looking at the camera) is striking. Vibrant colors and fine detail. Well done.

A wonderfully vivid group portrait, Henk. You have a beautiful light and wonderful soft modeling to the faces. Regards kevin

Brilliant and sharp portrait, with contrasting colours. the saddhu on the right does not seem to appreciate your action. I would have removed the half person on the left.
Nevertheles a great shot

We see a lot of posts of Sadhus on TE, Henk, but this is definitely one of the best I have seen. You have some interesting faces in frame and DOF is perfect. I am not so sure about cutting the man on the left in half. He has an interesting face too so maybe you were reluctant to crop him out. Cheers . . . David
