| Udaipur in Rajasthan, India has some lovely lakes sorrounded by hills. The kings who ruled this region built temples and palaces inside the lakes. The one in this picture is a temple. The other important lake site is a palace which is now a five-star hotel. Some websites refer Udaipur as Venice of East. In my view, it is Allapuzha (Allapey) in Kerala which can be called as Vencie of East since it has back waters which run like streets and substantial part of economy takes place in the back water ( such as market, transport etc). This photo in Udaipur was taken from a hotel. Increased the contrast, modified saturation and trimmed the photo with WS. |
