Photographer’s Note
as we were shooting rural life, this lady came out of her hut. she held the iron wire that holds up an electric post. the way she gripped the wire appeared very interesting to me. as if she was willing to pull down the 'post'. her red dress, her tight grip, the expression on her face, - et al - appeared to me loaded with symbolism

You’ve presented us with an excellent portrait here, Indrajit. It is very clear and sharp, and you show this woman in enough of a context to give us a sense of setting. I like the semi-profile view and the intensity you’ve captured in her expression and demeanor. It is also nicely positioned within the frame, and effective in capturing her in action. Good work!

Hi Indrajit
Great capture of daily life. Nice portrait and the woman works well in the bg. Maybe a bit over sharpened but it still works. Well done.
