Araku Valley is a beautiful Valley created by the Eastern Ghats of the Deccan plateau of Southern India.
You can see a beautiful view in the photo..
Araku is situauted 112 kms away from Visakhapatnam(also known as ..vizag) in Andhra Pradesh and is close to the state border with orrisa.
The Valley has an average elevation of 911 meters (2992 feet) above see level.
I took the Araku package of the state tourism dept. APTDC. We went there by train from vizag and this shot was taken of the train on the beautiful journey..passing through some 57 tunnels on the way to araku..
We went to a few nice places in and around Araku valley after reaching..the photos of which I'll post soon..
Hope you liked the pic..thanks for stopping by..

You show us an interesting photo from a truly not everyday's point of view! This must be a great railroad line. In combination with your excellent note a very good contribution to TrekEarth!
Greetings from Germany!

I like this train picture a lot. The curved track, the steep hillside, the people hanging out (you too!) all add to a lively, interesting picture. Well done!

Very well taken shot!!!!I loved the curved train and the nature around!!!Very well done!!
To add to your note, if I'm not wrong the train route to Araku is probably the highest in Asia(please correct me if I'm wrong).
My wishes for a wonderful year ahead!!

This is really an exceptional POV. I've heard of this railway track but till didn't have to chance experience it.Your shot will definitely grow more attraction within myself.Good sharpness and detail.
