Not only in Northern India - Diwali is celebrated with equal enthusiasm in all over the country.Like the warm tone of colours here - with nice saturation.The yellow Merigiolds and Yellow Saree of the woman compensates each other perfectly.Good composition.

The warm colours look great in the image and the yellows truly stand out out. This is an interesting image with good composition skills and details. Here in Calgary our large East Indian population is also celebrating Diwali. Thanks for sharing :-)

Clever framing of the woman between the flower cart. As I learn more about Diwali through your photos and Note, I wonder more about the type of flower used for making the garland. Looks like chrysanthemums and they appear to dry and maintain its consistency rather well. Greetings! Danilo

C'est bien composé et j'apprécie ce cadrage (recherché) avec ce personnage entre les supports.

Excellent framing on this image! I like the atmosphere that falls on the cart as the cover allows excellent light to fall on the Marigolds. The added bonus is indeed the woman dressed in like colors walking up to the cart. The angle you chose to highlight the scene is also excellent as the cart seems to lead the way into town.

Olá Marilyn, I see you took good advantage of the beautiful light making more photos of the Diwali at this hour of the day. Excellent use of the poles to frame the woman in a good vertical composition of the carriage. The yellow color stands out nicely and I like the graphism of the wheels.

Très belles couleurs pour cette occasion, tu as choisi la meilleure heure il me semble et trouvé la bonne occasion avec cette élégante dame qui est parée des mêmes couleurs

(je ne savais pas que ces fleurs, qu'on voit dans tous les temples, était associée à cette fête, me souvenant plutôt de toutes les petites lampes à huile et aussi des pêtards assourdissants, du Rajasthan à l'HP au WB, c'était surtout ça - et d'ailleurs une belle fête !)

Avec un peu de retard : bonne année indienne, alors !

Une image qui complète bien ta précédente photo sur cette fête indienne. J'aime bien ta composition et le cadrage avec cette dame qui passe au bon moment comme tu le souhaitais. Et en plus son sarie est en harmonie de couleurs avec les guirlandes de soucis. Une belle et agréable photo, bravo Marilyn.

Une photo très belle, pour beaucoup de raisons. Il y a la compo, très "élégante", comme la dame au fond, la lumière de tonalité chaude qui va très bien avec les jaunes et oranges... Une photo admirable et très réussite, sans doute.

Les fleurs ont une couleur magnifique, trés chaude, et le sari de la vieile est trés bien assorti. Sinon, je dois avouer que la charette du marchand est digne de figurer dans un musée technologique du 19ème siècle, elle a surement du connaître l'occupation portugaise.
