I am wondering always when I see such a framings,how you people can see this...a wall painted with HOPE and a little girl near.I think it`s a excellent documentary/street shot,well composed.My applause for this.TFS

So you've became a regular NEED contributor... WHich country will they send you to now?
This shot is ok, although with a strange greenish neonlight cast that you somehow tried to address on a "regular" exposure basis, I wonder whether something more daring on exposure (ie. darker) wouldn't have suit better fo r the atmosphere.
I must say I prefer MrBialy's take on the same subject, I am slightly bothered with the totally empty space on the right + rule of thirds portrait.

Yeah. Great shot, Maciej, the colors, the timing, the irony of the writing on the wall and the girl's expression, everything single thing fits.

Terrific shot. U have used the writing HOPE and the expression so wonderfully. It surely gives the very good presence of mind u have as well as the sweet timing.

Very symbolic photo ! the compo is "simple" and that makes the message stronger. It's perfect that the girl closes her eyes. Congrats with the Need-reportage !!!

Hi Maciek. This shot is pretty good, although maybe not as adventurous as I expect from you. Two things do bother me. First, the color is bad. She is greenish. I don't know why, but it seems your colors have been off on many of your last uploads, yet I always remember you as someone who had great colors before. I wonder what has changed. Second, I don't like that bluish U at the top right. I wouldn't have minded had you composed so that it wasn't in the shot.

Congrats on your further work with NEED; you are keeping some very good company there.

This is a scene full of power... I like the attitude of the kid and the sweet and glaucous ambient tints so congratulations and sorry for my poor english...

Wonderful shot, Maciej. Facial- and bodyexpression of the little girl is great. There is much room for different interpretations ...
"hope" written at the wall is wonderful.

Very touchy, it gives me shudders. This photo is so perfect, I just cant comment it, it has a story that it;s beyond everything I can say. I hope for this little girl to have a better life.

...........and breathe... I like this photo, the emotional content of it. It makes even more sense when reading the note. It's simple and speaks to me. The colors are kinda weird, but it works somehow in creating this atmosphere.

A fantastic image and powerful documentary/illustrative work, Maciej! And thanks for the link.
Sure there is the green cast, but it has become part of the darker mood in contrast the warmer color of "HOPE"
