Photographer’s Note
Still in Karu, another member of the gang while we were having lunch on our return from Pangong tso to Leh.
some more shots are added :
ONE OF THE GANG",
The gang! and want a bite of my lunch.
I officially want to thank Hisashi (HISPIC) who on a trip to Ladakh, printed some of my photos to give to the characters I had photographed back in august 2004. He brought back some photos of those happy faces receiving the prints! Something we might want to spread among us to bring back prints to the people some of us photographed during our visits.. Something to think about!
Internet connections have now been cut off in Burma and the concrete lid is getting heavier each day...

Hi Eric,
A very nice portrait.I love the way he is dressed and the innocence on his face.
Like the composition and DOF and would have ideally prefered a lil more of an empty frame on his left but don't think that wld have been possible bcos of the other man

Very pleasant looking kid indeed. The sharpness and DOF of the portrait are both very good. I would have cropped it a little tighter, leaving out the part of the guy on the right (it is certainly sharp enough for a tighter crop). Nice one. Sometimes it is best to keep things simple and you do so here.
Best,
Mikkel

Hi, Eric. A nice portrait. Sharp and direct, with good light in his eyes. I agree with Mikkel. I'd crop in further, cutting across the top of his hat and losing the figure on his left altogether. Try it! Best, -Hugh

Very innocent... how can he be a member in the gang...
i like the tight crop.. his placement is nice.. the composition is really helped by that...
i really like the output of stripes in your picture.. at his shirt and also on the cap he is wearing...
Great

bonjour eric

Bon WE à toi
& merci pour avoir signé la pétition.

Hi Eric,
Nice tightly composed horizontal portrait. Yeah, like them this way... It would have been a bit of work, but I might have cloned out the person the the right entirely! But it's a bit the discussion people had with my marching band shot, in which some like the cut off part of a trombone and some hated it. ;-)
Greetings!
Dennis

i like the very straight, candid look in this young mans eyes. he has a really good face, and i think you shot him at a really good moment.
