Photographer’s Note
The Rajabai tower at the Mumbai University:
Completed in 1878, the 280 feet tall Gothic structure makes a striking landmark in downtown Mumbai. Within the past century, Mumbai has grown to be a bustling city with little free space or peace. If you have been there you will know exactly what I mean.
Here I've tried to remove the lively city-atmosphere and instead replace it with the almost rural, old-town, tropical coast setting. Perhaps it was like this all round in 1878.
