Photographer’s Note

It has been always stressed that sunsets are always best without the sun so here it is shot from the roof of my house in kolkata.

In the monsoons, after a heavy shower when the sun begins to go down and there are leftover clouds in the sky..you can get this kind of view which is beyond description..the light coming through the clouds in myriad colours and also the shapes which it forms..they are just ecstatic..!The sun had gone behind the clouds and you can also see the silver lining here which is actually orangish..!!

Right here if you look closely you can make out a Dragon facing towards the left spewing fire..its just left to the viewers wild imagination as to what he sees..!! Can you see the Dragon..!

this is shot with a manual SLR at 210 mm and then scanned at 600 DPI with just a bit of PP ..I have not done any colour treatment to this one..its presented as i took it..!!

You are right, it looks a dragon. I would have placed the "dragon" a bit more on the right.

The explosion of colours, the silver lining along the clouds, the distinction of various colour tones, makes this shot stand appart from other shots of Sunsets.
I feel the drgaon frightened you, otherwise you could have riveted it on the right side of the frame. Ha ha ha
The shot tells two stories.
One the dragon is on fire, secondly arrows of clouds from another dragon are coming to asist him.
The inclusion of the arrow clouds on the right side make this composition a complete works.
If scanned image attracts to these extenst, I am sure you will set on fire the whole of TE wiht a DSLR.

Rightly pointed out by Rajeev,It's quality personified for a scanned image!!!I tend to disagree with Subir,I think that this is perfect.No need to place it to right!!!Why should you!!!!You have really done a great job Indro here.Simple yet very much beautiful.Simplicity is the most beautiful aspect I found here.And whatever PP effect you have done, is looking simply great and most importantly very very natural.Its a great nature shot.

Great imagination Indro...the dragon is spewing fire from its mouth! I am stunned at the quality of the scanned image...digitals have competition! The colours, contrasts, everything is top notch.
