Hi Siddhartha,

A beautiful post. I like the tone in this photo. Black and white suits you most and this is no exception. I like the expression of the cobbler very much. I don't think you should hesitate to post these kind of shots! These are really TE spirited posts in my opinion.

Regards,

Sayan

Hello Siddhartha. Your classical black-and-white photo pleases me very well. It is absolutely outstanding composed. I would say: a masterly achievement. Best regards, Wolfgang.

hey:
nice post. i have always thoughtof capturing the street barber, but never found a good frame :)
and i am glad you call your city calcutta. so do i.
bishan.

A fine contrasty shot, Sid, nice slightly greenish tones here and it works very well. A common scene, sure, but it's how you portray it and your composition here is exquisite - all components are just righ somehow. One of your best and most readable pics.
best,
Francis

Hi SIddhartha, fantastic image!
your great eye is well seen in this picture!
great composition, great the reflection on the mirror...
a superb work!
BRAVOOOO!
ciao!
Valeria
i hope to visit your wonderful country as soon as possible....

Good one Siddhartha. It is risky to post pictures of people getting a haircut in front of mirrors in India becasue of the cliche factor. Almost anyone who can spell camera has a similar picture and that includes me. I have many. I like the details in this picture which are quintescential India, such as the spray bottle of water to wet sticky hair, the little aluminium plate to dip the shaving brush, the washcloth. Like the sepia tone also, although I would be curious to see the BW version.

Best

Namasta Sid
I like this simple daily life of a fellow getting a cut. Great BW and love the reflection in the mirror. Not much more for me to really comment or critique. It's superb.

Brian

Hi Siddarth

A very typical scene from daily life captured.
The expressions on the barbers face are very prominent.
Also the political canvasing in the background ads to the common scene.
Good one...

Regards
Vikram

And yet again...
Gutsy situation. Gutsy shot.
Overburnt...
I wouldn't complain too much.
The situation was tense enough, lightning poor (I guess), and the results still pleasing my eyes.

thanks, Sidhartha
