Located at an altitude of 8500 feet, Rishyap is one of the most picturesque villages in Eastern Himalayas, with a 300 degree view of some of the loftiest snow peaks in the world including Mt. Kanchendzonga, Mt. Kabru, Mt. Pandim, Mt. Siniolchu among others. Apart from the snow peaks, the dense coniferous forest, the terraced agricultural patches and the simple ever smiling village folks makes up Rishyap, which situated on a lofty cliff, retains its pristine charm. The 11 km road to Rishyap from the nearest town Lava, is an unmetalled one. You need a four wheel drive or better still, trek through the thickly wooded forest. We were there at the onset of monsoon, when clouds play truant and you may miss the snow peaks altogether. We weren't so unfortunate though, as clouds lifted its veil to reveal Kanchendzonga. But I found the cottages which are leased out for rent, no less attractive.

Hi Sabyasachi,

the title translates exactly what I feel when I check your post. It could really be the front page of an fantansy drama book for kids. Yes, the inclusion of the kid makes me feel that. Great work!

Great shot! I like the combination in this one, with the boy on the path, leading to the house, which stands out so well against the background of the deep green forest. I find that the contast and colour of this really give this a realistic feel. Very beautiful!

Bonsoir Sabyasachi,
le contraste des couleurs est saisissant et donne beaucoup de relief à la photo. J'aime bien les nuages sur le haut et la lumière qui passe tout de même sur le reste de la photo. Bien vu

Hello Sabyasachi,
This is a very pretty image with the building nestled in amongst all the lovely green vegetation. Including the child walking up the path adds interest to the image. Very nice composition, of very good quality.
Cheers,
Debbie

Very bright and colorful house. I love the fact that it is nestled in the lush greenery and the fog enveloping the mountain enhances the mood nicely. The presence of the boy makes this a nice landscape into a wonderful photograph. Wouldn't expect anything less from you.

Have a good one,

Mel

Hello Sabyasachi! This is a dream house indeed. The density of that forest is just amazing and makes a great contrast with the charming house. Well done!

Excellent composition Sabyasachi. i like very much the mountin ccovered by thisk green forest half "eaten" by the clouds, and the human elements (houses and kid) at the opposite corner. Colours are ver nicely satturated. A very good feeling gets out of this picture.

Hi Sabya..

From yesterday, after I saw this amazing vision, I was in thoughts..
Not the word BEAUTIFULL can be the perfect one here..
Now, I have been in love with this, and I'd like to call this "MY LOVE"...
It's a joyous moment stepping there, within the mountain mist, and nature's magnificient
display of green...
Lucky, you are, to be there, dear friend.

Salutes..

Hi Sabyasachi,

I love the boy inclusion here, he made the diference! I think without him the photo will lost much of the beauty. It remember me a story for kids, about a boy that cross his land to his home in the mountains..

Well done

Dear Sabyasachi,
Beautiful shot, idyllic and peaceful atmosphere, I like it very much. I like the fascinating gleaming colours and the fog in the background. Picturesque composition, very attractive details. Soothing and fine impression, Congratulations. Have a nice weekend

Very good shot. You have composed it well with the houses off-centred and your low POV has worked very well to raise the height of the boy, who's inclusion was a very good idea. I lie the light and cloud contrasts. The WS is good too and shows more of what we expect from the Himalayas.
Kath

hi sabya...
well composed...very neat & clean..but the the position of the boy is little disturbing to me..otherwise very good color & placement of elements..best wishes...subir

hello Sabyasachi
a very nice composition with this boy going to these lovely houses. The light on the forest is wonderful, and the green makes a nice contrast with the white walls.I like this big cloud on the left, and I think that the low POV is excellent.

Dear Sabyasachi
Oshadharon setting for a cottage. It's bliss & closer to heaven feel for sure. Inclusion of the Boy from your low POV adds interest…perhaps could have been better if he was closer to the cottages. The view of Kanchendzonga in the WS is amazing.

What's this, an architectural shot from Sabyasachi? Definitely something a bit different!
It still has the essential human element though, and I like how you placed the boy almost prefectly between the two gabled roofs, but not quite.
The mist over the tree-covered hillside makes for an atmospheric backdrop.
Good work.

Cheers,
Ben

hi sabya...

Hi Sabya, well i see that there are some discussion on your PP work ... Let me tell you something : yes you are very skilled in PP, i don't think that your pictures are over post processed. In fact i don't consider there can be under or over post process on pictures, PP IS PART OF THE PICTURE.
PP has to serve the vision you want to share, the idea you want to vehiculate, the atmosphere you want to deliver. Of course i do love your PP skills, i'm a lover of PP (when they are well executed) (sebinho342 : at least 2 pictures deleted due to over processed here are my stats so i can talk about PP lol) and for sure yours are intriguing, disturbing : BUT GOOD.
Terrific picture here my dear Sabya

A dream house indeed. The landscape here is excellent. The foggy mountain and the child walking ahead give the image a very interesting perspective. Beautiful view and colours on this well crafted picture. THanks Sabyasachi.

Hi Sabyasachi,
Indeed a house of dreams. Your POV is superb, looking upward toward the house and hillside with the boy walking away from you. The great light and contrast here combine with high quality to create high impact. I love the misty background. Well captured.

Hello Sabyasachi,
This is simply a fascinating photograph! The boy walking toward this strange looking house, the fantastic canopy of trees and misty clouds hanging overhead makes me think of a childrens' fairytale. I am waiting for all the mythical forest creatures and strange spirits to come out of the thick forest canopy. A very imaginative and creative rendition of this remote dwelling! Surperb composition and photography!

Hi Sabyasachi,

Glad I stumbled across this .. the subject is beautiful .. the forest seems so thick as to be almost surreal .. add the mystic fog .. and the nestle this bit of humanity in there and it is magic .. amplified by how you have placed everything in the frame .. wonderful.

take care,

John

well center with the boy in the middle and fantastic color clarity

Hi Sabyasachi,

Amazing how the house colors came-out the fog. The boy in the path adds a nice touch to the composition. This pace looks very special.

Dear Sabyasachi,
I like very much your composition with this wonderful house into the nature. The colours are saturated and the fog adds to the scene. The access is difficult but it's worth trying!
