Photographer’s Note
Madurai Meenakshi temple : sun glowing some golden light at the end of the day.
Sitting on the stairs with the local pilgrims and looking down at the reservoir, I'm watching the ballet of the women passing under the gloriously lit arcades above me.
Sometimes the day ends this way : at the tip of a finger.

That single man's eye and the blue "dancer" emerging from the shadows in the back; these are my favorite elements in the scene. Great exposure here, today "enhanced" by my LCD contrasty reading. Your color rendition is the usual gold. It's so good. I love the darkness that bathes the top of the picture, exposed on the edge to show enough of the gorgeous circular ornaments on the ceiling. The low pov resulted in a striking scene presentation. Very nice shot.

Salut Luko,
Ciao!

Gee - what an amazing light you
captured here, Luko!
Skin tones, shadows, colours and
contrast are truly awesome.
If it wasn't for the rubbish bin,
I would've though it was a theatre
stage.
Truly amazing frame,
Robi

Ballet indeed! An opportune capture, wonderful light and color and moment.
Days that end like this are indeed memorable...

A good collection of shadows and people. Some great golden colour here which is further enhanced with the dresses matching the colouras from the setting sun.

Hi Luko,
A wonderful capture. Very nice lights and shades. The colour is also beautiful. A low pov making this even interesting. Veri unique this one compared with other Meenakshi temple posts.

The colors are superb, scintillating reay, Luko and corresponding shadows too of course. Low POV gives the ting the air of a catwalk." I'm wondering jus one thing, and maybe the thought cossed your mind too - might a slower shutter not yielded something extra magical in the way of movement...?

The colors are great here, even though it looks like you were in pretty bright, contrasty light. I like the looking up perspective and I think you did really well in avoiding nasty overlaps. For me though, what really makes this shot is the pointing woman; it would be rather plain without here IMO. Nice one.

This photograph takes me directly to this other shadowy intention of yours. A different country, a different scenery, yet a similar mise en scène, as if the photographer, not the subject, would condition the result expected from what is shown. I love the light in these two.

Just this intoxicating, otherworldly colour orgy set against the pitch dark shadows would have been enough to make me swoon, but the little details, with that tip of a finger on the left, the delicacy of feet and shadows are really sending shivers down my spine Luko. Superb.

The light!
The woman in the blue dress is a great add-on but the main subject of this photo is the beautifull India Light

i agree: it is the light - the golden light is the main character that gives life, warmth and sparkles magic over the end of this day. well done!

Hi Luko.
The light and scene by itself are superb. The tones are almost golden and it looks amazing. Also I like the POV and how appear all this people, their movements, their faces, their expressions,..
Well done.

So many wonderful elements in this frame, just great! I just wish there is a bit more going on the right side of the frame since the left side is sooo strong and wonderful.
