Photographer’s Note
Grandmother and grand-daughter (or Daadi-Poti" as they would say in this area. I stayed in this village for three nights and the people over there were kind enough to let me take their photographs. Very photogenic people I must say.
I came across this village while trekking in the Himalayas. (I intend to display some photos of this pair in an exhibition in September).

Hello Sarju. Which for a beautiful and aesthetic picture. Absolutely outstanding composes. In addition a fantastic light. It tunes everything perfectly in this photo, - and even the yellow flowers harmonieren with the wall in the background. I saw long time no more beautiful picture on trekearth. Greatly. Best regards, Wolfgang.

Beautiful and tender photograph Sarju. I really like how the granddaughter is leaning her head towards her grandmother’s shoulder. It really does show the bond between them both.

Wow, very impressive double portrait, Sarju. Indeed, they are gorgeous and they sure deserve to be hanged out in an exhibition. That's great for you as well. You are becoming a PRO :-) Everything is perfect here: The lighting, the details of their clothes, those warm, serene and happy expressions, those deep eyes, yes they seem pretty happy with life...oh man, this is really good. Some more minutes looking at this picture and I fall in love with these two faces. Besides all this, I also love the details of the yellow flowers on the corner. Congratulations on this one that I didn't know about... ;-)
Cheers,
Ricardo

Hello Sarju -
Well done! The exposure and composition are spot on the money. Did you use fill flash or a reflector? The shadows or lack of is perfect. Bravo, this is a keeper.
Thank you for sharing.

Very very beautiful double portrait...
I love the clear, bright eyes of the woman, the tones of the background, the soft light, the yellow flowers... and the way "the bond" is clearly depicted here.
A true beauty.

Hi Sarju,
Really expressive and emotional double portrait... Fascinating both facies, so different, but both natural, genuine, absorbing... This picture gives us the chance to reflect on our life and life of people in other countries, their experiences, dreams or troubles...
I like here composition and natural colours, just as perfect sharpness. Impressive shot my friend.
Best regards,
Andrzej
PS. If you intend to arrive to Cracow do it!! :o) I could guide you and show my city and region :o)

Hi Sarju!
I am glad you've uploaded them, this lovely grandmother and granddaughter shot. Both are so beautiful according to their ages. Love the yellow flowers on the right. They are so innocent, one before, the other after experience... you are lucky to have met them. A must-be-exhibited shot!
Take care Sarju! More of the Himalayas please...:-)

Bonsoir Sarju
Quel magnifique portrait !
Le visage de l'enfant contraste avec celui de la grand mère. C'est une illustration on ne peut plus concrète sur le temps qui passe. Très belle lumière.
Vraiment un grand bravo.

Peter (pgorod) came to my working chair the other day saying "you really have to see this one". I studied the picture and nod to him: yes... this is priceless. But work was so hetic (as I am leaving for holidays tomorrow...) that I couldn't really comment at the moment. And then the moment vanished. But now I am here and I like to tell you that you have here one of the best double portraits I've seen on TE. It almost gives me the need to create a theme on that to save this one. The resemblance between the two is really striking. Your title couldn't be better. Somehow, those two yellow flowers in the right are crucial elements here. They materialize the bond between the two... Perfect! Love to see using "my" kit to produce this beauty. Take care, l.

Sarju, this double portrait is absolutely splendid, not only technically but for the lovely smiling faces and for the very appropriate title - I also love to see the clothes of the grandma, as my last time in HP I noticed that they tend to disappear...
Absolutely perfect, this is a moment of grace, really !
I'll add it to my new theme,
BRAVO,
Cath.

Hello Sarju,
I think it is one of your best photo in your gallery, maybe even the best one.
It might be a little static, but their eyes and smile speak very loud. I really like the warm tone, full of sun and also the little sparkling light in their eyes.
There is an harmony in the tones that please me at lot. Red is such a nice color in photography", isn't it?
I know that you are preparing your new travel to India. Let me take this opportunity to wish you a wonderful time there, inspiring, nourishing, rewarding on all plans!

I love this one, for the fact that both youth and old age share the space. The light is just misteriously illuminating the two as well. And the bond that the two seem to share is the clintcher!...great snap.

Hello Sarju,
this is very tender portrait, the granddoughter looks so silimar to her grandma :) And both have something "joking" in their eyes, the same way of glance, the same way of soft smile.
I like it, excellent!
