Photographer’s Note
...I've been really down for the past few days, so thank you Kev, for your encouraging words today.
Eshaben...and her bag of rags. She was in a real hurry as she needed to leave for the village to meet with her mother and the rest of her family.

Belle intensité de l'arrière plan qui place le sujet en évidence: j'aime bien!

Hi Kajal
Great colors and very sharp where it needs to be. This is an excellent project you have going here. Really well done.

Those deep colors again and you're playing with what loks for all the world like vignetting on the upper edges of the frame. there is a bizarre thatricality to the juxtaposition of this dignified, imposing lady and the sack of garbage next to her, though it is her world of course. Your portrait work has transcendental aspects that shine through even when, like here, everything doesn't work perfectly.

Nice portrait. The color of the background is what first attracted my attention.

Bonsoir Kajal,
c'est une belle photo que j'apprécie beaucoup : le cadrage est bien choisi et les couleurs donnent beaucoup de relief à ce portrait. Bravo

hello Kaj,
Eshaben's dignity shines through. She may be in a hurry but her politeness and patience shines through. It looks to me as if she trusted in your work.
Sorry to hear you have been feeling down but you will come through your downer I am sure.
best wishes

Wow! Where do you find these colours?? The yellow seems the same type we find on interior walls dirty from nicotine. The (almost) square crop is a very good choice in terms of composition. Again a superb image.

Maybe not as complex or (for me) quite as involving as some of your work from in closer, but a good photo nonetheless. The yellow is great and I like the juxtaposition of the cheery yellow vs the bag of rags. I also think the tension in her hands adds to the shot although I am not sure about the expression on her face. Personally, while I like a little toeing in via vignetting, I think you have done it a little too much here for my tastes. Nice shot Kaj.

Kaj,
Another great shot while its not quite as strong as some of your others it's still another excellent potriat. That yellow is just gorgeous and i really like the way her hands are so expressive.
Cheers

Hello Kajal,
the yellow hallo around her is the key to this shot in my opinion. the portrait of this woman with her opened bag is quite emotional and cannot let the viewer un affected. It is like the yellow hallo drives us into the photo;-)
Good shot!

Very impressive portrait. Her expression is hard to forget. As it is said, a picture is worth a thousand words and this a perfect illustration for this. Excellent compo and light.

Hi Kaj,
Beautiful sensitive portrait. Her look to you passes some tenderness. The background color is amazing and contrasts very well with her sari. Love the square format too.

Not sure that this is quite for the theme. The strength of this one seems to be in the yellow backdrop, which is a prefect foil for the fine portrait. Hope you're up again now.

I find your photos both informative and persuasive. It is convincing that , a rare population of the planet is wealthy , while the majority lives in very difficult conditions.
