Stalk the Crow Photo

Photographer’s Note

I was walking in the peaceful beach of Arambol, Goa, trying to get some shot with my digital Pentax. When I saw the crow I began to shot photos from many directions, it didn't flee, I could approach quite a lot, and really was fun to stalk the crow.

Arambol beach is situated in north of Goa, is quite far from the heavy crowded central beaches like Calangute or Baga, Arambol is still something different.

The freedom is felt in every step that you take in this beautiful place, many young people, backpackers, and some spiritual oriented, always hang around.

It's said that is one of the favourite places for the Osho people, that come directly from Pune to Arambol. Also masters use to come this place to teach yoga, meditation, reiki and advaita filosophy.

Yep! A nice place to be, and to stay.

very nice, the shadow is just so perfect, and there is nothing disturbing the sand apart from tose little footprints, very relaxing compo, eye soothing.

Wow, superb photo.. Great capure.. The silhouette of the crow and its shadow, the sharpness of the sand.. Nice job.

Good coposition and colours well seen, the shadow against the almost silver sand is superb, for me I would of prefered a little more sand at the bottom of the picture, to give the shadow a spot more room.

It looks so easy, David, but it is very well conceived and carried out. Great composition with the crow, its shadow, and the footprints in the sand in the lower left area of the frame, and nice to see the glistening effect in the upper part where the sand is wet. Very good and I'm glad you didn't turn it into b&w but kept the subtle tones.
