Bloodshot eyes, bent back & Tired, crumpled face... That is something this gentleman presence is...But the things he makes go in making the lord inside the temple beautiful...
Do they really feel the pride everytime some one looks at the garland praises it?... He certainly felt it when we said that.
I am reminded of the character O-Lan in Pearl.S.Buck`s Good Earth, the most beautiful being in the world yet not in the eys of others around her.
I just had the right song... let me find it...

Good note. Touching.
On the photo....good colours and contrast. The expression is very good. You seem to have the moment. His process of tying up the flowers seems almost mechanical. Skill born of long practice.

Well saturated color, maybe a bit dark for the face. Good and natural attitude of the subject.

A play of diagonals to enhance the close shot of the garland maker, a very dark man that you profiled excellent in contrast with the flowers, the one I was waiting for, well taken with a pleasant history.

I really like your diagonal composition here. The strong saturation of the colors works very well as does the man's expression.

good colors and nice framing. The color of the guy is so dark and makes good contrast with the flowers

What an interesting note to a picture that by itself is already outstanding. I am amazed by how this man is carrying his age in dignity and how he connects these flowers into garlands for the temple. The composition of colours is simply beatiful, the clear yellow of the flowers, the man's dark brown skin and his eyes, quick albeit red. And also I feel a deep wisdom behind this face, if not to say his face, his view, the way he is holding his mouth, all look "wise" to me. I might be completely wrong, but these are some of the things that make me think, this is a very special picture and a wonderful one to look at.
So thanks again for sharing it.

Perfect subject, great colour contrast with the yellow flowers and pink wall, and all beautifully composed. I like your choice of tilting the framing slightly to add a little dynamism to the composition. And the scattered petals on the floor are just the icing on the cake - great capture.

I like a lot the dramatic tilt, and how the curve of the garland leads the eye through the photo towards the face of the man. I also like how the tight crops creates a very strong feeling of presence. good light control, there are enough details in the dark areas without overexposed highlights. the only thing that I don't like is the fact that his fingers got cut off, it does distract me a little. other than that - very good work, and I enjoyed reading the note.
with kind regards,
